A hot tub session shouldn't feel like a queue. This 6-person round larch hot tub is our largest standard round tub, built for families, entertaining, or anyone who wants genuine space to relax rather than a tub that's technically "for six" but comfortable for three. At 5.57ft (1.7m) in diameter, it offers a full, comfortable soak — and it needs no foundation or building permit to install.
The barrel is crafted from premium thermo-processed Siberian larch, arriving fully assembled and ready for use within approximately 10 minutes of heater installation. Ready-made benches and a hand-finished interior give the tub a considered, premium feel rather than a mass-produced one.
Heat comes from a genuine Ignis-V40 or Ignis-V50 seawater-resistant external aluminium stove, with a 6.56ft chimney. Water circulates naturally via gravity, heating to around 38°C in 2–4 hours depending on conditions — no pump and no electricity required. Positioning the stove externally keeps more usable soaking room inside the tub itself, and makes the furnace far simpler to load and maintain than an internal alternative.
How long does it take to heat up, and does it need electricity?
No electricity or pump is needed — water circulates by gravity and heats to roughly 38°C in 2 to 4 hours via the external wood-fired stove, and the tub is ready to use around 10 minutes after the heater itself is installed.
Do I need a foundation or building permit for this hot tub?
No — it's designed specifically to avoid both. It arrives fully assembled and can be placed straight onto a suitable surface, and it's easily relocated later if needed.
Is this a good fit for entertaining or a larger family?
Yes — at 6-person capacity, this is built for entertaining and larger families who want everyone in the water together rather than taking turns in a smaller tub.
